About the books
-
The Beans books are aimed at children aged 6 to 8, though many younger and older children — and the adults reading aloud — find plenty to enjoy too.
-
Bean Tales follows the Beans through their everyday lives in the village of Hollybridge, in 32-page standalone stories. Bean & Gone introduces the series' magical element, following the Beans on longer, time-hopping adventures beyond the village in 98-page books of 7-8 chapters. Bean Before is a series of standalone 64-page books that retell real moments from history with a Beans twist.
-
No. Every Beans book is a complete story on its own. Each book is also sequentially numbered, so if you'd like to follow the full story of Hollybridge from the beginning, the numbering gives you the optimum reading order to do so.description

Well… it’s a secret. But some say Hollybridge isn't a real place — it's the fictional village where all of The Beans stories are set: a small, perfect village of rolling hills, forests, lakes, and streams, tucked beneath the Opal Mountains, far beyond the reach of any other civilisation.
