Welcome to Hollybridge

Tucked beneath the towering Opal Mountains, far beyond the reach of any other civilisation, there's a small, perfect village called Hollybridge.

It's a place of rolling hills, quiet forests, winding streams, and lakes that catch the morning light just right. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone has a role to play — a bee to keep, a scroll to guard, a crop to grow — and everyone looks out for one another.

It's the kind of place where nothing much is supposed to happen. And yet, somehow, something always does.

Maybe it's a friend who's gone missing on the way to the library. Maybe it's a game that goes just a little too far, right up to the edge of somewhere you're not supposed to go. Maybe — just maybe — it's something a lot stranger than that.

Hollybridge is home to a small cast of characters we call The Beans: Morton, Jess, Jim, Fern, Blossom, Basil, Fred, Frieda, and Winnie, among others. Each one has grown into a very particular role in the village, and each one has their own way of seeing the world — which usually turns out to matter a great deal when something unexpected happens.

For now, Hollybridge is where our stories begin. Everyday mishaps, small adventures, the occasional stinky disaster. But keep reading, because Hollybridge doesn't always stay as quiet, or as contained, as it first seems. There are borders around this village — and not every story stays inside them.
